The smell of coffee floated through the air. She flipped casually through the pages of the newspapers, trying to pick out interesting news to read. It seems that the news lately are either about terrorists’ attacks or about the rising oil prices.

How boring, she thought.

It was a lazy Saturday and she wasn’t in the mood to think about serious issues. Her mind was preoccupied. She gently stirred her cup of iced latte, taking a sip through the green straw.

She cupped her hands under her chin and looked out of the glass windows of the coffee place. The streets were crowded with young people, walking and laughing.

She wondered what it would be like to be young again. Maybe she would be different. Maybe she would have the courage to take the first step, fall in love and not think too deep.

She thought about lines of a poem that she had read must earlier.

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!

She sighed softly.

If only it was so easy, she thought.

Her mind drifted back to the day when she saw them walking together along the streets. They were holding hands and talking, looking so happy.

Her heart ached at the thought of this sight.

Maybe it would be better to forget. Maybe it would be better to be forgotten.

Am i all alone in this universe?
There's no love on these streets.
I've given mine away to a world that didn't want it anyway.
